NFS Payback: Features we'd like to see.

Hi everyone. So far I guess most of us can agree that NFS Payback is looking good for the most part. Ghost are really ticking off all the correct boxes, at least for me. We're still yet to see a dedicated 'grip' vehicle but so far, I don't mind the handling as it looks years ahead better than 2015's.
This isn't a discussion about "we want underground 3" or "give us a most wanted '05 remaster" etc. It's not going to happen. Ever. Get that into your head, embrace it and move on.
The stuff here is only a wishlist. It would almost be impossible to implement them now. We can hope it makes it's way into DLC sometime in the future though.
Anyways, I'd like to talk about the non-game play specific features that I'd like to see, and a few others that I picked up from a lot of the community's previous posts.
Photomode. Let's start off with photo mode, or snapshot or whatever you want to call it. We know it will be there for sure. We can all agree that 2015's cam was pretty good. I don't have much to add to the camera itself.
  • In offline mode, the camera should always pause the game when started started. This should allow players to catch some really crazy shots while doing a complete U-turn down the highway just inches way from kissing the rhinos and cops swarming all around you like flies on hot **. This would not be possible if the game could not be paused. An option to toggle to realtime while in the camera is a bonus..
  • When outside of an event, an option to choose the time of day and weather conditions. Being able to choose certain times of the day, inspired by this section from the trailer. In terms of weather, I highly doubt that it will be possible to do so, as I sense that there will not be any sort of dynamic weather (such as rain) in the world. I do hope sandstorms are a thing though, and if they are, an option to cycle through them would be nice.
  • Remove visual damage from your car. Say your car is damaged, yet you come across a very nice photo opportunity, it would be awesome if you could remove your vehicle's visual damage from the car to take to shot. As soon as you're done, it's back to your damaged VW beetle. You can't escape the gas stations, bro.
  • In private lobbies (I'm not a big multiplayer guy, because of the country that I'm in - 1mbps is considered fast here ¯\_(ツ)_/¯- so I wouldn't know how it would work) if all the other players are within an acceptable radius, I believe temporarily pausing the game would be possible (?) I'm sure many of y'all wanna snap a few pics doing a togue battle, down a canyon, wearing matching outfits with your best buddies. I'm sure CROWNED and Slap do.
And that about wraps the camera.
Audio. So far, most of the sounds seem to be quite good. I'm talking about the car sounds and the pre-selected sound track. However, I see not everyone is a fan of the commentary that the characters (looking at you, Mac) make in-game. I personally don't have any gripes with it since Mac is apparently supposed to be the comic-relief, loud mouthed, show-off gearhead. I'm only saying this because I grew up admiring cocky characters in these games such as LA Rush and Midnight Club L.A (are people from L.A general like this). Then again, he annoys people, and these are the people ghost are pitching to. So, I guess accommodating them should be an option.
  • Option to tone down in-game yet non story tied taunts. I'm not sure if this should affect all characters at once or individual characters. Let's meet in the comments
  • Option to tone down grunts from crashes etc.
  • Pause dialogue. During story events or conversations between characters etc, if anything should happen, like a crashcam gets triggered (we'll talk about this later) while a character is speaking, it should pause the dialogue between the characters. Kind of like how GTA has been doing it.
  • Custom user music. The ability to import the user's custom music from the console/PC that they are playing from. For instance, on the PC, you could make a folder where players can drop their music shortcut files, and the game will recognize and play them within the game. I have very little faith that this will happen. I'm guessing some sort of licensing issue will come up. Which brings me to my next point
  • Ability to select playlists. A menu that displays all of the songs in-game, and ability to toggle where to play them if they should be played at all. 2015 really alienated songs to certain events which gave the impression that the music variety really lacked.
That wraps up the audio.
Race maker / editor. This should provide hours upon hours of replay value. And always seem like the type of thing that keeps people going long after the game has been beaten.
  • Create you own race. If the option makes it's way into the game, it would be nice if a player could build the race from the ground up. As in, choosing the starting grid placement (you should be able to pick how the cars will be placed on the start grid, and the limit of the cars), checkpoints (you should be able to pick the radius / width of the checkpoint) where the crowd / spectators will be, adding the in-game props (barriers, cones, etc) to specific locations, adding locations where the cops will spawn from, a trigger location that brings forth rhinos, roadblock locations, the specific class that should be used and so forth. Heck, even being able to make other races and chases happen while our race is going on. This made the world seem alive, to be honest. Kind of like we've seen in the Gamescom Demos.
  • Editor. Stuff like the in-game props (ramps, barriers, cones, etc) should make building fun locations a lot more interesting. For instance, if a multi-floored parking lot is available in-game, using those props should help in making interesting races. It doesn't have to go as far as to manipulate terrains and roads etc. God no. Look at Skate 3 & GTA V's editors, and they are very solid. They provide a library of all assets available in the game for your disposal.
Director mode. This is more for the creative guys that we have over on YouTube. In the long run, these are the guys will be able to show off the game for what it can really do to skeptical potential buyers.
This should be a mode that takes in-game recorded footage and allows the users to manipulate it at will.
For instance, let's say I finished a race, and decided to save the footage of it. In director mode, I'd be able to make a scene like this using camera angles and lighting tools from within the mode. Being able to slow down the speed or speed it back up. I'm talking about timelines, keyframes etc. For instance, keyframing traffic to certain locations at certain speeds so that the drivers react in different ways. Things like that.
Just look at what could be done in 2015: This, Or this, Or heck, even this.
I really believe that these tools should be available in-game. In combination with the editor and online friends, means great results could be made. I'm sure a bigger interest in the game will be evident down the line.
Crashcams Boy, oh boy. Crash cams. This has mixed reactions, but we can all agree that there's too many of them. I don't want them out of the game, but I want them reduced.
Maybe showing the last cop taken down, maybe the most awesome house thug (I call them the ManDem) Take down etc. Just give us options. Don't alienate a side entirely.
(Add a few jump cam options while you're in there too...)
Wraps I love wraps. You love wraps (yes you do. Or else you wouldn't even be playing this game).
I would really like a section that allows the players to make a wrap group. For instance, in the wrap editor, I'd like to create and paste my own logo on all of my cars. But I don't want to have to recreate the same logo to paste of all of my differently wrapped cars. I just want the logo. So, how would this work?
A custom vinyl tab within the wrap editor that stores all of my grouped items that make up a single design. Then I can take that design and do as I wish on other cars. Even share it to my online crew. And they can do the same.

The next few ones are a little less important, but would still contribute in making the world feel alive.

I do. And I sure as hell do miss them. They were quick. But they were immersive. You really felt like you had to impress whoever was watching. Like it's a real race.
Because so far, we only have this and this. I sure hope that those are not the only openings that we have in the final game.
Next, is pursuit results.
If the character chosen (I mean either one of Tyler, Mac or Jess) gets busted, don't just show some text on the screen indicating that "you're busted".
A little cutscene showing the characters being pinned down. Just like the older games did. It would be even nicer if shown like a news report/coverage. "Illegal / reckless maniac driver arrested in 'x' district". x being the location they're currently in.
For more immersiveness, maybe, just maybe a little bit of commentary over it by the news reporter naming a few (doesn't have to be all) of the manouvers the driver did prior to being arrested. Like mentioning the number of police involved, the duration of the pursuit etc. It doesn't have to go as far as to show a news reporter lady / guy onscreen or making interviews to on of the cops, but a voice over would definitely work.
For segments that involve multiple characters in the car like the truck chase mission (I hear something about driving bank robbers to a safe house etc) the involved characters should also be shown getting arrested.
Undercover, Carbon, Most wanted, Hot Pursuit 2 and in some cases the run did these quite well. Again, allow the people that care very little for this, the ability to skip through it. It's the little details that make a game memorable.

- Ignores moral guidelines: Unfettered Bob is not just Above Good and Evil, he's left that behind a while ago. His only code is win, win, win. Does Unfettered Bob have to find a cure for Ebola, AIDS and cancer in order to overthrow the evil empire? Okay, he'll do it, the evil empire's pharmaceuticals CEOs are going to find themselves running out of business. Wait, now Bob has to burn down an orphanage to get at the Emperor? Okay, he'll do that too. Sorry, kids, but Bob's need outweighs your lives.
- Devoid of apprehension or indecision in their actions: When Unfettered Bob makes decisions, he makes them now, and doesn't waffle over them. Neither failure, nor anything else, is feared by these characters, since for them regret is irrelevant if not impossible. It's not even a question of not giving up for these characters; they simply cannot look at the world in a way where their goal appears impossible (unless they change their mind and their goal, in which case the new goal is likewise viewed). This doesn't mean Unfettered Bob is hasty, though; an unfettered character is willing to wait years to achieve their goal if that sort of patience is required.
- Lacks emotions, or doesn't let them interfere in decision making: There are two reactions an unfettered character can have to doing something unsavory, like sacrificing comrades or innocents. The Trickster openly questions and mocks authority, encourages impulse and enthusiasm, seeks out new ideas and experiences, destroys convention and complacency, and promotes chaos and unrest. At the same time, the trickster brings new knowledge, wisdom and many An Aesop. Even when punished horribly for his effrontery, his indomitable spirit (or plain sheer foolishness) keeps him coming back for more. - Trope Description: "The Japanese term tsundere refers to an outwardly violent character who "runs hot and cold", alternating between two distinct moods: tsuntsun (aloof or irritable) and deredere (lovestruck). A. Harsh (Tsun Mode): These Tsundere have tsuntsun as their default mood. It takes someone special to trigger their deredere side. The intensity of the tsuntsun can range from simple grumpy pessimism, to "I must glare and fight my way through life". It's about which part of the tsundere personality is the 'public' face and which the 'hidden'. The moods of a Tsundere tend to switch in reaction to the actions of select people or adverse scenarios; the deredere side usually only comes out when someone has acted in a way to trigger it.
B. Sweet (Dere Mode): These Tsundere have deredere as their default mood. They are sweet, kind and generous, but just happen to have a hidden violent side as well. Don't confuse the sweet tsundere with Bitch in Sheep's Clothing because in this case, they have a temper almost always triggered by someone or something else, usually a Love Interest. Either they have Belligerent Sexual Tension, are an Accidental Pervert, or just have no idea how to handle feelings of love and attraction.
